    Drivers are being warned of "difficult" driving conditions this afternoon across the West Midlands because of slowly clearing fog patches.

    The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning, running until 16:00 today, saying visibility could be less than 100m (328ft) in places.

    A 91-year-old woman was ordered by burglars to stay in bed as they smashed through a rear patio door and looted her jewellery, personal documents and cash, police have revealed, external.

    The break-in happened on St Martins Road in Sutton Coldfield at around 22:00 on Monday 19 December.

    DC Tom Lyons of West Midlands Police said: “Fortunately the lady wasn’t injured, but she was left extremely shaken by her ordeal."

    Officers, who have arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of burglary, want to identify another man, pictured below, in connection with their inquiries.

    Pontus Jansson headed Leeds ahead from a corner after the break and the defender then hit the crossbar.

    After Liam Cooper handled under pressure in the box with four minutes left, Kodjia equalised from the spot.

    Two men are due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court today charged with the murder of a man who was shot dead in a stationary car.

    The victim, Carl Campbell, aged 33, died after being shot on High Street in West Bromwich at about 14:30 GMT on Tuesday.

    The accused are Mohammed Humza, 19, and Vikesh Chauhan, 24, of no fixed address.

    The Birmingham Mail reported Mr Campbell was jailed in 2009 for causing the death by dangerous driving of Clarence Elwin in Tipton, external.

    A motorcyclist who died in a crash involving two cars near a garden centre in Staffordshire has been named by police., external

    Staffordshire Police says Jon Whitehouse, 44, from Castlecroft, Wolverhampton, was riding his bike on the A454 Bridgnorth Road on Boxing Day afternoon.

    Police say the bike was in collision with an Alfa Romeo queuing to go into Gardenlands Garden Centre and a Volkswagen going in the other direction. 

    Officers say Mr Whitehouse suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
