    West Midlands Police have carried out morning raids in Birmingham and arrested three 16-year-olds on suspicion of being involved in a number of car-jackings.

    The investigation has been ongoing and police have revealed three other suspects, a 13-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys are now in youth offenders’ institutes having been charged and remanded.

    The outgoing MP for Birmingham Edgbaston and one of Labour's leading Brexit supporters is accusing the party of making itself "irrelevant". 

    Writing in the Telegraph, external, Gisela Stuart, who co-chaired the Vote Leave campaign during the referendum, says the party had to "think hard" about why it did not share the "optimism" of voters who backed Brexit.

    She adds that Labour has to be more than a pressure group or movement and sell itself as a party of government that shared voters' desires.

    Three teenagers who are suspected of being involved in car-jackings across Birmingham have been arrested during morning raids, West Midlands Police say, external.  

    The 16-year-old boys are being questioned in police custody and were arrested earlier today at addresses in the Tyseley, Balsall Heath and Moseley area.

    Police have recovered a large sum of cash, mobile phones, a car key and clothing.

    Fit-again winger Jordan Graham will add an extra dimension to Wolves attack next season, according to team-mate Richard Stearman.

    Graham, 21, played the last half an hour of Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat by Huddersfield, after 15 months out with a cruciate knee ligament injury.

    "I thought he really livened the game up and got some bums off seats when he came on," Stearman, 29, told BBC WM.

    "If he can stay fit then he'll be a force to be reckoned with next season."

    West Midlands Police have arrested two teenagers during dawn raids in Birmingham, in connection with a series of violent car robberies. 

    The car jackings have seen women and elderly people dragged from their vehicles, electrocuted with stun guns, and beaten up before the thieves made off with their cars.

    The vehicles, which included a Lamborghini Huracan and Bentley Continental, were pulled off the roads between April 2016 and March this year after drivers were caught breaking the law. 

    The force say uninsured drivers can face six to eight points on their license, a £300 fixed penalty notice or a substantial fine if the matter is pursued through the courts.

    Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with an investigation into a spate of car-jackings across Birmingham.

    Twelve officers raided properties earlier and two mobile phones were seized.

    Police want to find evidence of mobiles they think were used to co-ordinate the crimes and believe the car-jackings were organised via encrypted messaging service WhatsApp.

    They are also looking to find weapons used.

    Some victims have been shocked with stungun-type devices.

    Chris Eagles hit a stunning late winner as Walsall lost at home to relegation-threatened Port Vale last night.  

    The veteran winger hit a superb right-foot angled drive from the edge of the area which arrowed into the top left corner.

    The result gave Vale a slim chance of staying in League One, moving them to within a point of 20th-placed Gillingham.
