In the run-up to the general election on 8 June, we’re asking people across the country to tell us what #GetsMyVote.

    Caroline Woodcock

For Caroline Woodcock (pictured) a mental health nurse from Gloucestershire, the NHS is a burning issue.

"We should put more money into it," she said.

Mrs Woodcock, who worked for the NHS for about 17 years, said she felt "hugely stressed" before deciding to move to the private care home sector.

"I was a community mental health nurse and over the years I saw a huge increase in case loads and staff shortages," she said.

"The loss of NHS burseries [for student nurses] had a big impact and led to less members of staff."

She added the private sector was a "whole different world", with much better conditions.

Mrs Woodcock, who spoke to the BBC at Birmingham New Street station, said she "probably won't vote" as no political party appealed this time, but would consider it in the future.
