    NHS Blood and Transplant says the number of people on the Organ Donor Register has increased by 27% over the past five years.

    It says despite the rise there is still a shortage of donors.

    The father of James Brindley who was stabbed to death in a street in Aldridge last month says the family needs to know who killed him and why.

    He has been speaking to the media following the release of CCTV footage in which two suspects are featured.

    [James] didn't go out a lot because he didn't want to spend any money because he wanted to put it in his business. [But] he went out about 10.30 and told us he was just popping out and 'I'll see you later'. He wasn't out on a night out. He rarely drank alcohol."

    CCTV footage has been released by police, external who wish to identify two men in connection with a fatal stabbing in Aldridge.

    James Brindley died as he walked home last month after a night out.

    Police believe the two men featured in the images came from the direction of Bosty Lane and headed back in that direction after the stabbing, which happened in Little Aston Road.
