    A man has been arrested in a murder inquiry prompted by the death of a man at a boxing match in Walsall at the weekend.

    The victim has been named by police as 19-year-old Reagan Asbury from Pelsall, external.

    A man is being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the large fight that broke out at the event at Walsall's town hall.

    He was detained by police at his home in Derby last night.

    A teenage girl was subjected to a "traumatic" sexual assault in Rugby last month, Warwickshire Police says., external

    They're investigating the assault which took place between 20:00 and 21:00 on Friday 29 September in the area of Deepmore Road in the town.

    The girl and her family are being supported by officers, the force said, and they're keen to speak to a cyclist in the area at the time who could have witnessed the ordeal.

    A list has been compiled of the best and worst 112 pit-stops across England, taking into account everything from food to the all-important lavatories.

    In the Midlands it's a bitter tale of two halves.

    Saharan dust in the atmosphere over the Midlands is giving an unusual look to the sky in some places, said the Met Office, external.

    BBC Weather presenter Charlie Slater said debris from forest fires in Iberia could also be contributing to the strange views of the sun seen across the region.

    Di Carrington, Sharon Magrath, and Elaine Theaker are part of a crew taking on the Atlantic Challenge race.

    Starting in December in the Canary Islands, it ends in Antigua and covers 3,000 miles.

    Police said they've seen everything from household kitchen knives and screwdrivers to swords.

    Two thirds of tower blocks in Birmingham only have one exit stairwell and none have centralised fire alarm systems, a BBC investigation has found.

    Many of the buildings were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s - meaning current fire regulations don't apply to them.

    Birmingham City Council said sprinklers are being installed in all 213 blocks it runs and is making sure any improvements meet current legal standards.

    The National College for High Speed Rail is officially opening in Birmingham later today.

    It will specialise in the IT side of railway development - including digital signalling.

    It's hoped graduates will provide the workforce required for major infrastructure projects including HS2.

    Concerns have been raised over plans to change some of the flight paths from Birmingham Airport.

    The plans could see aircraft take-off from the north easterly runway and turn so that they fly closer to areas of the city like Harborne and the North Warwickshire village of Curdworth.

    A woman has been killed in a "domestic incident" at a house in Birmingham, police say.

    The 49-year-old was stabbed at an address in Washwood Heath at about 16:00 on Sunday - she has not yet been named

    A man, 46, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

    West Midlands Police said officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with the attack.
