Port Vale manager Neil Aspin is hoping their break from league action will give the players time to improve before their next League Two outing.
Their three-match unbeaten run came to end on Saturday when they lost 3-0 at home to Swindon, leaving them clear of the relegation zone on goal-difference.
Neil Aspin's side have an FA Cup tie at home to Oxford United on Friday.
Quote MessageIt's a tough game in the cup, but it gives us a couple of weeks until our next league game and we've got to make sure we are better when we play that game. We can worry about the opposition, but if we don't get our own game in order then we're not going to pick up points."

A dairy farmer who lost over 60 cows to bovine TB in February has said he is struggling to rebuild his herd.
Ernie Durose, who farms near Tean, North Staffordshire, has only got 13 Guernsey cows remaining and explained they are difficult to replace.
Mr Durose said he'd been searching the whole country, but the best he could get was a promise of some in the spring.
Quote MessageIt's certainly not easy to re-stock with Guernsey cows, because the Guernsey cows just aren't there. Most Guernseys are in the south west, which is riddled with TB, so we can't really bring them out of the south west, so we are looking everywhere else."

Read MoreBirmingham's application to host the Commonwealth Games in 2022 is still the only option on the table, according to the man in charge of the bid.
The team is in "ongoing talks" with the Commonwealth Games Federation, said Commonweath Games England (CGE) boss Paul Blanchard, with a month to go before the deadline closes.
The deadline for bids was extended to November 30 after Birmingham's application was judged to be "not fully compliant".
Speaking to Press Association Sport from the CGE's annual general meeting in London he said "everything is going well".
Quote MessageWe completely understand that and we are quite comfortable with the situation and still very proud of our bid. As far as we know, no other bids have come forward yet but we are not complacent or arrogant about it - the door is still open.

Scientists at the University of Warwick have been involved in the discovery of a 'monster' planet.
NGTS-1b is 600 light years away from us and is around the same size as Jupiter, but is orbiting a star half the size of our sun.
The man leading the research, Dr Daniel Bayliss, said the discovery was a surprise, because it was previously thought that planets of this size could not be formed by such a small star.
Quote MessageIt's very large compared to the size of the star it goes around and in fact it's the largest planet ever found orbiting one of these small stars we call M Dwarfs."

A man has been taken to hospital after a cigarette in a waste paper basket started a fire in his flat.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to his home, off Newcastle Road in Newcastle-under-Lyme and found it had spread to the carpet and radiator in his bedroom.
The man has been treated for the effects of breathing in smoke after being given oxygen at the scene.
Quote MessageSadly we’ve previously seen that smoking often plays a part in fatal fires and this man was very fortunate to have escaped relatively unharmed. Thankfully his flat was fitted with working smoke alarms and we were called before things got out of control.”

Doctors have been given permission to operate on a cancer patient after a judge ruled she doesn't have the mental capacity to make treatment decisions.
A hearing at the Court of Protection heard the woman, in her 60s, who has been diagnosed wtth paranoid schizophrenia, does not accept her breast cancer diagnosis, maintaining she "simply has a cyst".

It started selling them on 1 November last year, aiming to sell £2.5m of the £1 shares in a year, and had originally set a deadline of 16:30 today.
The railway said it had decided to push the deadline back "due to an overwhelming number of shares being purchased today".
And it said it was only £100,000 short of its target.
