    Young people in have been warned not to get involved in a risky driving stunt called "crazy drifting".

    It's after a video was posted on the internet showing one of the meet-ups in Worcester.

    West Mercia Police has launched an investigation after the YouTube video was watched 11,000 times showing boy racers driving erratically around the city.

    It shows them flipping their cars sideways whilst driving at high-speed around traffic islands, and riding quad bikes with the front two wheels suspended in the air.

    Highways England says delays are reducing but there are long queues on the M54 approach.

    People living in Stoke-on-Trent are being offered the chance to benefit from the city council's £1 empty homes project.

    It's the second phase of a scheme that will see vacant houses transformed and brought back into use.

    Twenty five privately owned but empty houses in Hanley are being renovated at a cost of £1.5m.

    The new owners have to agree to repay the costs through a low-interest loan.

    Crewe Town Council has voted to oppose proposals to crew the town's second fire engine with on-call firefighters.

    Last night the County’s Chief Fire Officer talked them through the details of the proposals, which are being considered as part of budget cuts.

    The town council will be writing to the fire authority to say it feels Crewe should keep two engines, both staffed by full-time firefighters.

    Leisure facilities in Redditch, such as the Palace Theatre and the Abbey Stadium, could be run by a new company set up by the local council, to save money.

    Redditch Borough Council, which currently runs the district's leisure facilities, is looking at whether it could save £400,000 a year by creating a "Local Authority Trading Company", rather than hand sites over to the private sector.

    The idea will be discussed by councillors next week.

    Only 22% of cyclists in Birmingham feel the city is safe enough to ride in, according to a new survey.

    Over 1,000 took part in the Bike Life report for the charity Sustrans.

    Nearly three quarters of them said Birmingham would be a better place to live if more people cycled.

    The number of people cycling to work in the city has increased in the last two years.

    Crewe manager David Artell says he hopes his team's drop down the League Two table is "hurting" his players.

    They are 20th in League Two and preparing to face two teams below them, with away trips to Forest Green and Morecambe to come in the next week.

    A warning's been issued about a new scam which claims to help people get blue badge parking passes.

    Sandwell Council says it's been alerted to websites claiming they can help applicants for a fee.

    Councils can offer the blue badges for free and says any website charging money for the service should ring alarm bells.

    Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust has launched an investigation after several patients' medical notes were reported to have been sent to the wrong address.

    A health campaigner in Newtown has told the Shropshire Star newspaper, external an envelope was passed to her after being wrongly delivered to someone in mid-Wales.

    The trust, which has apologised, says it takes the matter seriously and is investigating the "relatively small" number of mistakes.

    Work on the new Southside site, fronting Cleveland Street, started last month, with new traders expected to move there in spring 2018.

    The council is currently assessing applications for new traders for the site.

    A Staffordshire company has been fined £300,000 after admitting Health and Safety breaches at its warehouse in Stone.

    Stafford Borough Council said it brought the case against Hexstone Ltd, which controls the Owlett-Jaton site, after a female member of staff had her leg crushed by a forklift truck.

    The authority said the victim required 13 operations.

    Hexstone, which admitted the two breaches at a previous hearing at Newcastle-under-Lyme Magistrates Court, was also ordered to pay £7,424 in costs.

    A handgun, a sawn-off shotgun and a stash of ammunition have been recovered by West Midlands Police at a flat in the Billesley area of Birmingham.

    Officers raided the address at 05:15 this morning. A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing firearms and Class A drugs, the force said.
