    Shrewsbury Town's top scorer Sean Whalley says the players aren't feeling the pressure, yet.

    The club is back at the top of League One after the win against Fleetwood, but are only one point ahead of Wigan and Blackburn.

    Whalley said the pressure might increase towards the end of the season when they know what they have to do to secure promotion, but with 15 games still to play that's a long way off still.

  2. Demolition material given to museumpublished at 11:17 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February 2018

    Tiles, chimney pots, bricks and window frames from the former Gas Showroom in West Bromwich have been given to the Black Country Living Museum.

    They will be used as part of a £21.7m expansion that will depict Black Country life in the 1940s to 1960s.

    The Dudley museum expects to have the new facilities open by 2022.

    Sandwell Council says the Gas Showroom site has been demolished and the site cleared ready for redevelopment as part of work to renovate the town centre.

    Another force has been asked to review police investigations into the murder of Kevin Nunes.

    The 20-year-old semi-professional footballer from Wolverhampton was shot dead at Pattingham in South Staffordshire, in 2002, in what was believed to have been a dispute over drugs.

    Five men who were jailed had their convictions overturned when the Court of Appeal found ‘serious flaws’ in the original investigation.

    The inquiry was asked for by Staffordshire Police's Chief Constable Gareth Morgan who said he was clear that justice for the murder has not been received.

    The family of Kevin Nunes' son, who was born 3 months after his father died, have welcomed today's announcement.

    An independent expert is being brought in to consider ideas put forward for the Stafford building's use, the county council says.

    A teenager from Coventry was locked in a storage cupboard with 20 other people as they sheltered during a shooting.

    Lewis Mizen, 17, moved to the States three years ago, and is a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High where 17 people died in a shooting on Wednesday.

    He says he still can't understand how the tragedy could have happened to his friends.

    Diallo, Ochi, Gamba and Subira were given red boxes full of treats and had their enclosure decorated with paper lanterns to see in the Chinese New Year.

    A teenager from Coventry said he initially thought the shooting at his Florida school was a drill.

    Suspect Nikolas Cruz, 19, has appeared in court charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder.

    Lewis, who moved to the States three years ago, hid in a storage cupboard for two hours during the incident.

    Speed limits need to be lowered before someone is killed, a councillor says.

    David Skinner said residents in Tile Hill, Coventry, have launched a petition calling for a 20mph limit in the area because a number of people have already been injured in crashes.

    Chinese New Year celebrations in Birmingham are to be the biggest yet, say organisers.

    The free annual celebrations regularly attract over 20,000 people - and it is hoped there will be even more this year.

    The celebrations on Sunday will mark the start of the Year of the Dog.

    A baby girl is still in hospital more than four months after a flat fire which killed her mother and six-year-old sister.

    Ten-month-old Tamunni Fadoul is described as poorly with no significant change to her condition.

    Her mother Zainab Adam, 36, and her sister Tafaoul died in the fire on Ringland Close, Stoke-on-Trent, last October. It had been started accidentally.

    A teenager who goes to the school in Florida which saw a mass shooting on Wednesday has spoken of his "relief" when police finally entered the building.

    A campaign has been launched to raise £8m to turn a historic Birmingham residence into a year-round tourist attraction.

    Grade-II listed Highbury Hall in Moseley was once the family home of former city MP and mayor Joseph Chamberlain.

    The Chamberlain Highbury Trust, external, a charity established to preserve the house, wants it to be used as a place where people can learn about how the city was, and could be, run.
