    Three men have appeared in court charged with manslaughter and arson with intent after an explosion killed five people in Leicester more than a week ago.

    Aram Kurd, 33, of Hillary Place, Leicestershire, Hawkar Hassan, 32, of Eld Road, Coventry and Arkan Ali, 37, of Drake Close, Oldham have all been remanded in custody.

    A polish supermarket and a two-storey flat above it were destroyed in the blaze.

    After 112 years at London's Natural History Museum, the model dinosaur has started a UK tour with exhibition coming to Birmingham between 26 May and 9 September.

    Dippy on Tour is a free event, but advanced booking is strongly advised, said the museum, as it's expected to be a popular exhibition.

    A man's been arrested , externalafter another man died in a crash between a lorry and a car in Malvern this morning.

    The Renault Clio collided with the white HGV on the A4103 at the Cradley junction, Storridge.

    West Mercia Police say the teenage driver of the car died at the scene.

    They've arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of causing death by careless driving when driving under the influence of drink or drugs.

    Production's been stopped by car firm Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in the West Midlands as water firm Severn Trent looks to tackle a massive number of burst pipes and a potential water shortage.

    The thaw after last week's freezing weather means the company says it's had a 4,000% rise in reports of bursts. , external

    It's trying to keep water flowing to schools, homes and hospitals - it says JLR's agreed to halt production to save supplies.

    Severn Trent also says it's made bottled water available in the Ladywood, Harborne, Longbridge and Walker’s Heath areas of Birmingham, external because of the burst pipes in those places.

    When water freezes in a pipe it expands, putting more pressure on it and in many cases causing it to split or force joints apart.

    Water supplier Severn Trent says when the temperature starts to rise again, the water once again turns liquid and finds those cracks - causing bursts or low pressure.

    Her Vauxhall Corsa was in a collision with a Vauxhall Astra, police say, on the A34 London Road near the junction of Victoria Street yesterday morning.

    The force says the road was shut for around six hours and 20-year-old was taken to hospital.

    Despite the snow and ice causing major problems on the mainline railway, a heritage line managed to keep going thanks to the efforts of volunteers.

    Staff at Severn Valley Railway had to deal with frozen points after snow on Friday.

    Despite that, a full weekend service was provided on the line between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster thanks to a team of volunteers keeping the route open.

    Firefighters were called to the site in Tunstall at 06:45 and found the blaze in the loft.

    They say no-one was hurt as they'd got out of the flat when their smoke alarms went off.

    An 11-year-old boy's been critically injured after two cars crashed near Redditch., external

    The ambulance service says one of its vehicles came across the collision on the A441 just after it happened yesterday evening.

    It said both cars had suffered "considerable damage" and the boy was trapped at first, before being released, anaesthetised and taken to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

    Another child who was in the same car, a nine-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with neck and wrist injuries.

    The service says three other victims were making their own way to hospital, while a 13-year-old girl wasn't hurt.
