    The decision has been made against Ali, who currently plays for Worcestershire, after he failed to take a wicket in the first Test.

    Moeen Ali has played England's past 43 Test matches dating back to April 2015.

    Myles Oakley died at Russells Hall Hospital in 2015 after suffering a brain injury caused by a lack of oxygen.

    An NHS investigation revealed serious failings in the quality of maternity services.

    His mother and father now want to see improvements to the quality of time parents are able to spend with a critically ill newborn.

    The hospital has agreed a financial settlement with his family.

    Councillors in Telford will meet tonight, external to consider a public inquiry into allegations of historical child sexual grooming in the borough.

    Telford and Wrekin Borough Council has called on the government to fund and lead an investigation following newspaper allegations widespread abuse dated back to the 1980s.

    The authority says it "regrets" some practices to protect children weren't effective at the time but improvements have been made.

    The meeting, held in public, will take place at the Park Inn, Telford, from 17:00.

    In the next few months, the national inquiry into child sexual abuse will begin sessions in Telford.

    Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has returned to Pakistan for the first time since being shot by Taliban militants.

    Ms Yousafzai, now 20 and a vocal human rights activist, was shot in the head by a gunman for campaigning for female education in 2012.

    After receiving emergency treatment at a military hospital in Pakistan, she was moved to the UK for further treatment and recovery in Birmingham, where her family continue to live.

    She is expected to hold meetings with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

    Conviviality, the owner of Bargain Booze, which has a base in Crewe, has announced plans to file for administration.

    The firm also owns Wine Rack and supplies more than 25,000 restaurants, hotels and bars.

    It has issued a series of profit warnings in recent weeks and revealed a £30m tax bill. It sought £125m from investors but said it had been unable to raise those funds.

    The company has about 2,500 staff and their jobs are now in jeopardy.

    Corey, six, and Casper Platt-May, two, were on a family trip to the park when they were hit by a car.

    Robert Brown, 58, has admitted causing their deaths by dangerous driving.

    Pupils at Ravensdale Primary School will plant trees in tribute to the two boys.

    A funding boost for NHS services in Shropshire should lead to an improved A&E as well as other services, NHS bosses claim.

    The government has earmarked an extra £312m for the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal in Telford.

    In January this year just 66% of patients arriving at the trust's A&Es were treated within four hours.

    Investors will have voted on whether it is to stay independent or come under the control of turnaround specialist Melrose Industries.

    The Redditch-based company has faced the biggest UK hostile takeover bid since Kraft took over Cadbury's in 2010.

    Several investors have already said which way they will jump. But they appear evenly divided.

    Two areas of Shropshire are set to benefit from a share of a multimillion-pound flood protection package. , external

    The government says it's investing £36m in 25 schemes in England which are designed to protect homes from flooding.

    Schemes in Longden and Worthen will receive £70,000.

    Shropshire Council says 21 homes in those areas are at flood risk and the money helps secure the measures in place to protect them.
