The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) says it has seen documents from Telford & Wrekin Council which show it is working to address this type of abuse.

Earlier this week, it was revealed the national inquiry will be in Telford in the coming months, speaking to victims as part of its Truth Project.

Led by Prof Alexis Jay, who conducted the review into abuse in Rotherham, it was set by the government to look into allegations of abuse nationwide.

Today, the IICSA said it had received some documents from the council about its work to tackle child sexual exploitation and will consider whether it needs anything further for the next phase of its investigation., external
