    A search team brought in to try to locate the body of a missing teenager are ending their search having found nothing of significance.

    Nicola Payne, an 18-year-old mother of one, went missing while walking across wasteland near her parents' house in Coventry on 14 December 1991.

    The private forensic team searching Coombe Country Park in Warwickshire say they've not given up their efforts to find the body of the missing teenager.

    A woman has been attacked on her own doorstep by a man holding what's believed to be a knife.

    Warwickshire Police said it happened at a house on Clarendon Square in Leamington Spa last Saturday after the victim answered the door.

    She was treated for injuries to her cheek, chest and arm.

    Police say the man, who was aged between 25 and 30, had a distinctive Celtic tattoo on one hand and a birthmark under his left eye.

    A man, thought to be the driver, has been released from a coach after a three-car crash on the A38 in Staffordshire which also involved a lorry.

    Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said he had been taken to University Hospital North Midlands and that traffic would remain slow for some time.

    The collision happened at Barton-under-Needwood and Highways England earlier warned there were four-mile queues in the area.

    These are some of the scenes near the part of the Shropshire Union Canal which has collapsed in Cheshire.

    It was spotted in the early hours of this morning and Cheshire Police says it looks to be a huge sink hole.

    A Worcestershire-owned horse could make history at the Cheltenham Festival today.

    Lizzie Kelly partners Tea For Two as she bids to become the first female jockey to win the Gold Cup.

    The horse is part-owned by Len Jakeman from Upton-upon-Severn.

    A sell-out crowd of 70,000 is expected at the Gloucestershire track, where the going is described as soft, heavy in places.

    A man has died and a woman has been taken to hospital following a two-car crash on the A442 in Worcestershire this morning.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service said it happened between Kington and Inkberrow at 07:35 and the man was in cardiac arrest when crews arrived.

    The woman, who is in her 40s, was in the other car and is said to be suffering chest and back pain.

    Tarik Campbell, 18, and 19-year-old Alex Lees were killed after the motorbike they were riding was involved in a crash with a car on Broadway West in Walsall on Tuesday.

    The parents of Alex said he "loved life".

    "He could never sit still and was always on the go, he lived every moment to the fullest."

    The embankment on the Shropshire Union Canal at the Middlewich Aqueduct has collapsed, with Cheshire Police saying there appears to be a "very large sink hole".

    Engineers are now on the scene and a man found on board a nearby boat has been moved to safety.
