    Hundreds of people gathered for a vigil in memory of a 14-year-old girl found dead in a Wolverhampton park.

    The body of Viktorija Sokolova, 14, was discovered in West Park, Wolverhampton on 12 April.

    The vigil was held at the park and mourners tied blue balloons - her favourite colour - to the park gate.

    A 16-year-old boy from Wolverhampton has been charged with her rape and murder and is in custody.

    Clean Up Britain is trialling the Now or Never initiative for 12 months - with a view to rolling out the successful elements of the project across the wider region.

    The campaign will make use of social interventions, messaging techniques and shocking images in a bid to change the behaviour of litterers.

    A woman who has vascular dementia, is recovering after running for more than seven hours to complete the London Marathon.

    Sue Strachan, 62, took up running after finding out she had the disease and trained on the roads around her home in Staunton-on-Wye, Herefordshire.

    Her official time for the hottest ever London Marathon was seven hours and 12 minutes - she managed to raise more than £12,000 for Alzheimer's Research UK.

    A man killed in a motorbike crash has been named by police as 21-year-old Andrew Fellows.

    No other vehicle was involved in the collision, on Birchfield Way, Walsall on Friday afternoon, West Midlands Police said, external.

    In statement, Andrew's family said: "We as a family are completely devastated by the loss of Andrew through this tragic accident.

    "Andrew was a fine young man, loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed."
