    Warwick has been named as one of the areas of the country that's seen the biggest increase in the number of homes sold for £1m or more.

    There have been 130 homes in the town sold for more than £1m since 2007, with the most expensive sold for £3,500,000.

    Sales of £1m-plus rated homes have more than doubled in 104 local authority areas of England and Wales in the 10 years since 2007.

    One more controlled explosion is expected to take place this morning after several overnight, following the discovery of mortar shells at a building site.

    The area in Chasetown, Staffordshire's been cordoned off since yesterday morning , externalwith Army bomb disposal officers checking the shells.

    Police say mortar shells that don't need destroying will be taken away by the Army.

    Police searching for a missing man in Warwickshire say they have found a body.

    Matthew Ryan, 47, was last seen in Radford Semele, near Leamington Spa, at the weekend.

    A body was discovered in a field near Offchurch Lane.

    Formal identification is yet to take place, but police say Mr Ryan's next of kin have been informed.

    A series of controlled explosions have been carried out after a large number of mortar shells were discovered at a building site in Chasetown, Staffordshire.

    An area was cordoned off and businesses evacuated yesterday after the discovery on land that used to be a munitions factory.

    Army bomb disposal squads were called in to assess whether the shells were still active.

    Police warned residents that the explosions would be "ongoing" for four to five hours last night.

    Drivers in Worcester are being warned to expect serious delays following the complete closure of the A4440 Southern Link Road.

    About 30,000 vehicles use the A4440 each day travelling between the M5 and Malvern and Powick.

    For the next week traffic will be diverted via London Road and Bath Road.

    Wreaths will be laid at Holy Trinity Church to remember those killed.

    The search for the body of a man, killed almost a decade ago, resumes on land in Warwickshire today.

    Jesse Richards, 40, died in Evesham, Worcestershire, in July 2009 and five men were jailed in connection with his death in 2012.

    But his remains have never been found, despite police offering a £10,000 reward.

    Warwickshire Police officers are currently combing farm land in Corley after suspecting his body was dumped somewhere in the county.

    A man's due in court this morning charged with murder after a van driver was killed in a crash with a car.

    Daniel Blount, 31, was fatally injured in the crash on Kingstanding Road, Birmingham, on 25 April.

    Andre Thomas, 25, of Cradley Croft, Handsworth, was charged with murder and is also accused of wounding two other men with intent.

    He is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court.

    A private firm running Wolverhampton's out-of-hours GP services has been told it has six months to improve or it'll lose the contract.

    Vocare runs The West Midlands Doctors Urgent Care but the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has given it the warning after rating it as, external "requires improvement" this month.

    That assessment comes after an inadequate rating last year when the service went into special measures.

    The CQC says a lack of improvements will lead to the cancellation but Vocare says it's confident the service has improved and will keep improving.

    Final preparations are taking place before the country's most famous dinosaur skeleton goes on display at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery tomorrow.

    Dippy the Diplodocus stood guard in the entrance hall of the Natural History Museum in London for more than 100 years but is now on a tour of the country.
