    It was born in the early hours of yesterday morning to first-time mum Akuna.

    Police investigating a suspected acid attack on a three-year-old boy in Worcester have made a sixth arrest.

    The man, who is aged 41 and from London, was arrested last night for conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. He is currently in police custody.

    Five other men who were charged in connection with the incident appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday and have been remanded in custody.

    Part of Birmingham New Road, in Tividale, is expected to remain closed until Tuesday 31 July, Sandwell Council's highways team said.

    Warwick District Council staff could be asked to car share or work from home so that the public can use their car park at the Riverside House offices.

    It is one of a number of ideas being considered by councillors, who are trying to find extra parking spaces to replace the 470 due to be lost when the Covent Garden car park in Leamington closes early next year.

    The council's head of neighbourhood services, Rob Hoof, said: "At least 50 spaces per day can be found without detrimental impacts on staff car parking or displacement of staff to other on-street or off-street locations in the town.”

    Another plan is to open the car park up to the public at weekends.

    Trout and salmon have also been rescued from the River Teme in north Herefordshire, after hot weather saw water levels plummet.

    A body has been found by officers searching for a missing 17-year-old boy at a former quarry site in Warwickshire, police say.

    Officers at Blue Pool, near Bishops Itchington, found the body at about 10:50. It was recovered from water, the Warwickshire force said.

    Formal identification has yet to take place, but the missing boy's next of kin has been informed.

    Despite high winds and steep terrain, firefighters say they are making "good progress" in tackling a large grassland fire at a country park in Stoke-on-Trent.

    About 30 firefighters are at the Park Hall site after being called at about 09:45.

    The blaze is close to a fire which was started deliberately earlier this month.

    The environment is making the job "challenging" said Staffordshire Fire Service.
