Midwives have thanked police for their efforts investigating the death of their colleague Samantha Eastwood.
Today, midwives at the hospital say they met with Ms Eastwood's sister and mother along with Staffordshire Police officers to thank them and tell them how much she meant to them, and that she would be "sorely missed".
Michael Stirling, 32, of Gratton Road, Bucknall, has been charged with her murder.

A multi-coloured giraffe sculpture badly damaged by vandals has returned to its plinth in Worcester.
There are currently about 60 giraffe sculptures forming a trail across the streets of the city.
But, on 3 August, one of them, called Diversity is Us, was broken off its plinth and organisers say they removed it from the trail for repairs.
Now, Worcester Stands Tall says it's been fully restored and is back on the trail until it ends on 16 September.
Once finished, the sculptures will be auctioned off for a local hospice.

Three members of one family are preparing to battle each other in the skies over Austria to try and become a world champion.
David Bareford, from Cookley, near Kidderminster, is competing in the hot air balloon contest alongside his son Dominic and daughter Stephanie.
Dominic, 25, has won the the British National Hot Air Balloon Championships three times in a row.
Father David took his children up in balloons when they were still toddlers. The world championships take place from tomorrow until 26 August.

The mother of the baby, Clare O'Neill, was pushed to the ground by two men, who made off with the vehicle.
Baby Eliza was found at Small Heath Health Centre in Chapman Road at about 16:45.
The stolen car has since been recovered in Small Heath and is undergoing forensic testing.
Birmingham City Council has told the BBC segregation in the city must be addressed so that communities are no longer living in isolation.

A serious case review is to be held into the case of an 11-year-old girl who was bludgeoned to death by her great-uncle.
Yesterday, Delroy Forrester, 51, formerly of Lower Villiers Street in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton, was convicted of Jasmine Forrester's manslaughter.
The court was told Forrester's daughter, Tyler, was angry that she had approached a crisis team at Penn Hospital in Wolverhampton the day before the attack but was told they could do nothing to help.
West Midlands Police said Forrester had been complaining to his close relatives and friends that he was "getting messages through the TV telling him what to say" and also spoke of demons in his head.
The review will be carried out by Wolverhampton Safeguarding Children Board who've described it as an "horrific case".

A mother has set up a project to teach schools how to spot children who have mental health problems, after her son took his own life.
Joshua Smith, from Stone, was missing for a month in 2016 before his body was found near Barlaston. A coroner recorded a verdict of suicide. , external
