Two officers and several members of the public, external have been hurt after police tried to stop a car in Stoke-on-Trent this morning.
Staffordshire Police says they were called to reports of a suspicious Fiat Punto on Topham Place, Bucknall, at around 11:00. , external
It says officers tried to stop the vehicle but it drove off, leaving them with minor injuries.
The force says it then hit a pedestrian on Fenton Road and collided with another vehicle, before the driver fled the scene.
The pedestrian's in hospital getting treatment while the people in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

An appeal's been launched for tradespeople to help revamp houses as part of a council idea to try and stop the hospital's accident and emergency unit closing overnight.
Last month, Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) Board ruled the Princess Royal Hospital would temporarily suspend services at night.
Telford and Wrekin Council immediately launched a campaign to try and stop the move with thousands signing a petition urging the government to come up with a rescue plan., external
Now, the local authority's leader, Shaun Davies, says he wants local tradespeople to help refurbish three homes in the hospital grounds , externalin a DIY SOS-style project.
He says the NHS trust agrees that, if they're overhauled, they'll be then offered for free to junior and middle-grade doctors willing to staff the A&E.

The family of a kayaker who died during a race off the Dorset coast have raised nearly £5,000 for the RNLI.
Alistair Collier, 60, from Worcester, was last seen at midday on Saturday at the start of a race at Knoll Beach, Studland.
Organisers raised the alarm when Mr Collier did not complete the race to Swanage Pier, prompting a large-scale search of the coast.
His body was found on Sunday 22 miles from the shore, alongside his kayak.
Mr Collier's family have met up with some of the crew members who took part in the search for Mr Collier to express their thanks and have also set up the fundraising page.

The charity trust that runs the town hall said it had started the first phase of work to redevelop the building thanks to "his generosity".
