    A stand-off involving armed police outside a house in Wolverhampton is still ongoing 24 hours later, with no end in sight.

    Firearms officers were called to Laurel Grove shortly after 09:00 on Friday when a 38-year-old man threatened police who had gone to make an arrest.

    Nobody else is believed to be in the property and negotiators have been on the scene. A drone was also put up to help monitor the situation on Friday.

    Extra officers were brought in at about 17:00 last night to relieve their colleagues who had been at the house all day.

    The armed siege outside a house in Wolverhampton has been going on for nearly 10 hours.

    Firearms officers were called to Laurel Grove in the Merry Hill area when a 38-year-old man threatened police who had gone to make an arrest.

    Negotiators are at the scene.
