Firearms officers were called to Laurel Grove shortly after 09:00 on Friday when a 38-year-old man threatened police who had gone to make an arrest.
Nobody else is believed to be in the property and negotiators have been on the scene. A drone was also put up to help monitor the situation on Friday.
Extra officers were brought in at about 17:00 last night to relieve their colleagues who had been at the house all day.
