    A total of 48 Conservative MPs needed to submit letters to say they no longer supported her in order to launch a leadership challenge.

    Councillors in Ross-on-Wye say they want the town's minor injuries unit reopened.

    The Wye Valley NHS Trust decided to close the temporarily unit from 3 December, with staff transferring to Hereford County Hospital, but some people fear this will lead to a permanent closure.

    The councillors have agreed to write to the trust and the local MP, to voice their concerns and ask for other solutions to the staff shortages at Hereford's accident and emergency unit.

    Information supplied by the health trust shows about eight people a day use the Ross hospital, while the A&E in Hereford has recently had days with more than 200 people attending.

    The north Shropshire Conservative MP Owen Paterson is adding to the calls for Theresa May to step down as prime minister, saying her "mistakes have eroded trust in the government".

    There is no confirmation, but sources, including a cabinet minister, have said they believe 48 letters have been sent - enough to trigger a no-confidence vote in Mrs May as party leader.

    Mr Paterson, a former Environment Secretary, wrote in his open letter, published by the Daily Telegraph, external, that Mrs May had failed to prepare for a no-deal Brexit, tried to bounce her ministers into supporting her and approached negotiations like a "feeble and unworthy" supplicant.

    Downing Street sources are playing down an imminent move and say they have had no contact from the senior backbencher who receives the letters.

    A man's been jailed for carrying out a burglary in Nuneaton.

    James Quinn, 35, of no fixed abode admitted robbing a property in Black-a-Tree Road in August.

    He was jailed for two years and four months at Warwick Crown Court on Friday.

    Det Chris Cook from Warwickshire Police said: "Burglars have no place in Warwickshire and we are committed to making it as hostile as possible for offenders."

    A lorry packed with £30,000 worth of furniture was stolen in Stone on Saturday night.

    Thieves drove up in a lorry cab and hooked up to the trailer, which was parked at Micklow House Farm on Eccleshall Road, police said.

    The lorry also contained steel rope weighing 1.7 tonnes, which is used to move craness and is worth over £5,000.

    More than 200 teddy bears have been delivered to children at Telford's Princess Royal Hospital by the local ice hockey club.

    They were donated by fans at Telford Tigers matches over the weekend and were handed over by players and coaches this afternoon.

    Head coach Tom Watkins said it was especially poignant for him, because his own son spent time in a children's ward at this time of year, recovering from heart problems.

    Doors, walls and windows at the King's Heath premises of Thrive, a gardening therapy charity, were daubed with graffiti.

    The building is leased from the city council which will help with the clean-up, it said.

    Amanda Fields, from the charity said the "heartbreaking" attack wouldn't stop the centre from opening.
