Nine-month refurbishment of community building startspublished at 07:09 Greenwich Mean Time 31 December 2018
The Anstice Memorial Hall, in Telford, closes tonight for a major refurbishment.
The building in Madeley is having more than £1m spent on it, with the town's library moving in downstairs alongside a community cafe and two shops.
A lift is also being installed and the clerk to Madeley Town Council, Phil Griffiths, says the transformation should take about nine months.
