Campaigners who are fighting a day nursery on the edge of Wolverhampton, that opponents claim has been built too big, have attacked the council’s traffic plan for the scheme as "unworkable".
Members of the Lower Penn Nursery Development Group, who want the nearly-completed building on green belt to be torn down because of planning infringements, claim that Springhill Lane is incapable of supporting motorists wanting to access the site.
Developers have built the nursery, designed to accommodate more than 200 children, with more than double the floor space they originally applied for, it says.
A spokesman for South Staffordshire County Council said today they would continue to look at the situation.

Poorly and painfully thin, this dog is thankfully in the care of animal rescuers after being picked up on a Herefordshire road yesterday evening.
Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue says it's possible he was stolen, but can't find any microchip to identify him.
It is now working to nurse him back to health and find him a new home.
