  17. Nursery traffic plan attacked as 'unworkable'published at 18:40 Greenwich Mean Time 28 December 2018

    Local Democracy Reporting Service
    Joe Sweeney

Campaigners who are fighting a day nursery on the edge of Wolverhampton, that opponents claim has been built too big, have attacked the council’s traffic plan for the scheme as "unworkable".

    Development

Members of the Lower Penn Nursery Development Group, who want the nearly-completed building on green belt to be torn down because of planning infringements, claim that Springhill Lane is incapable of supporting motorists wanting to access the site.

Developers have built the nursery, designed to accommodate more than 200 children, with more than double the floor space they originally applied for, it says.

A spokesman for South Staffordshire County Council said today they would continue to look at the situation.
