    A man's been charged over New Year's Eve disorder in which according to police a car reversed at speed into a house.

    The crash happened on Eagle Close, Dudley, and left a woman in the damaged house needing hospital treatment.

    Police said up to ten people were involved in disorder at the scene.

    Edward Nock, 20, from Higford Lane, near Shifnal, has been charged with drink driving and causing serious injury through dangerous driving and is due to appear before magistrates later this month.

    A 16-year-old boy, arrested on suspicion of three counts of assault in connection, has been released under investigation.

    A man's been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a car smashed through the wall of a house, injuring an elderly woman inside.

    Police said they were called at about 23:00 on New Year's Eve to reports of disorder on Eagle Close in Russels Hall, Dudley, involving up to 10 men.

    A Nissan Micra was in reverse when it crashed into the home, according to the West Midlands force.

    A 20-year-old man from Telford who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving has also been detained on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

    Officers said a 16-year-old boy from Dudley was also arrested on suspicion of three counts of assault after a Ford Fiesta was set on fire, two people were punched and a policeman was attacked.
