    They trail Middlesex by 65 runs after their first innings. Australian Callum Ferguson was the top scorer with 37.

    Joe Leach (pictured below) scored 32 not out and Charlie Morris 15, and they were able to add 40 runs for the final wicket.

    At Edgbaston, Surrey are replying to Warwickshire's first innings of 293 and are 87-2.

    A Stoke-on-Trent pub is being taken to court by neighbours complaining about noise from its summer events.

    Jolly Potters in Hartshill has been given licensing approval for seven events, but that's set to be reviewed by magistrates following an appeal.

    Some nearby residents have complained about excessive noise levels, public urination, drug-taking and sex in the street.

    But others living there have lodged letters of support for the summer parties.

    A man in his 50s injured at a Leominster factory last week has died of his injuries.

    He was hurt at Mifflin Construction on Worcester Road at about 12:50 on Friday and flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where he later died.

    A 39-year-old man has denied murdering a woman six years ago, preventing her lawful burial and fraudulently claiming her benefit payments.

    Kevin Flanagan is accused of killing Lisa Bennett, 39, in the Weoley Castle area of Birmingham in 2013.

    He appeared at Birmingham Crown Court alongside his co-accused, Kathleen Salmond, 40, who did not enter any pleas to charges of murder, fraud and preventing burial.

    Mr Flanagan, of Redbrook Covert, Kings Norton, Birmingham, was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court for trial on 2 September. His co-accused, of Farnhurst Road, Hodge Hill, Birmingham, was granted conditional bail until a further hearing on 29 July.

    Fairway Wheels said it was given six days to convert a Humvee buggy, previously used at the Dubai Grand Prix, and get it ready for the premiere of Rocketman in Leicester Square last week.

    Richard Pearson set up the company with his father and said they won the contract after making a buggy for Sir Elton for another movie, Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

    A man's in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in the Woodside area of Telford last night.

    West Mercia Police said the victim, in his 50s, was assaulted close to The Elizabethan pub in Park Lane at 20:20 and was left with a serious head injury.

    The force said it believed there was an argument inside the pub before the attack and there would have been a number of witnesses.

    Three men are being held in custody.
