    The trophy was designed by 10-year-old Beatrice Hurst, from Priors Field Primary School, who won a county-wide competition.

    Flooding is affecting low lying land and roads adjacent to the River Severn from Shrewsbury to Upper Arley, the Environment Agency is warning.

    This was the scene at the Welsh Bridge in Shrewsbury a little earlier. Flood barriers remain up across the river in Frankwell.

    Satellite technology's being used in Herefordshire to help stop soil being washed off fields in the heavy rain and on to roads.

    The county council said there were several cases last week of mud washing on to routes as well as soil running off into rivers and polluting them. , external

    Drones and images from satellites will be used by the local authority and the Environment Agency to find places where soil's likely to be washed off and warn whoever owns the land.

    Two flood warnings have been removed in the West Midlands due to falling river levels.

    There are still six warnings, meaning flooding is expected, in the region, in Shropshire, Warwickshire and near Solihull. , external

    The agency's said the outlook for flooding remains unsettled as, external, while levels in smaller waterways are falling, larger rivers are rising still.

    With less then 40km remaining, the cyclists are about to tackle the first Queen of the Mountains climb of the day at Sun Rising Hill.

    There's still a high risk of flooding across parts of the West Midlands and Cheshire this afternoon, despite the rain easing in many places.

    There are still nine flood warnings, external - the Environment Agency's second-highest warning level - for the region, meaning flooding is expected.

    Just below that level, there are also more than 20 flood alerts spread out over every county in the region.
