    National Rail Enquiries said the tracks were under water southbound between Whitlocks End, near Solihull, and the Warwickshire station., external

    It's affecting services out of Worcester Shrub Hill, Kidderminster, Stourbridge Junction and Birmingham Snow Hill.

    A forensic specialist from Hexham has called West Midlands Police's appeal for volunteer digital forensic analysts a "disaster waiting to happen".

    The force has advertised the unpaid roles which involve sifting through "distressing [and] indecent images".

    Forensics professionals have expressed concerns that volunteers working at least 16 hours a month will not receive adequate emotional support.

    Sam Raincock said on Twitter: "I actually cannot believe what I have read here.

    "It is an absolute disgrace and a disaster waiting to happen."

    Detectives investigating the deaths of babies at Countess of Chester Hospital have said they are doing "everything possible" to find out what happened to the infants.

    It follows the release on bail of 29-year-old nurse Lucy Letby, who was re-arrested on Monday on suspicion of murdering eight babies between July 2015 and July 2016.

    She was also held on suspicion of the attempted murder of nine others.

    Cheshire Constabulary is also looking into 16 non-fatal collapses between March 2015 and July 2016.

    Det Insp Paul Hughes said it was an "extremely challenging" investigation, adding:

    Organisers of the Women’s Tour said "history will be made" as the race includes its first-ever hill-top finish.

    The climb at Burton Dassett country park is 1.2km with a 5% average gradient and has been a feature of the race for the past two years.

    This year, riders tackle it three times during what promises to be a thrilling finale to the tour’s latest Warwickshire stage.

    Stafford MP Jeremy Lefroy says he will stand down at the next general election.

    The Conservative was first elected to the marginal seat in 2010 and will leave the job in 2022 unless an election is called earlier.

    People parking in a car park in Shropshire today are being warned they may have to move their vehicles this evening or risk them being flooded.

    Shropshire Council reopened the Frankwell site in Shrewsbury this morning, saying it expected river levels to peak at 2.7m (9ft) at the Welsh Bridge gauge today, below the level which would flood the area.

    Australian Sarah Roy, who's in the breakaway group leading the Women's Tour, has previously won two stages of the race - in Chesterfield in 2017 and last year in Leamington Spa.

    The group have passed through Leamington Hastings in Rugby and have opened up a gap of seven minutes 50 seconds as they enter Birdinbury.

    This tent was spotted partially submerged in Shrewsbury after the River Severn burst its banks in the heavy rain.

    Shrewsbury Canoe Hire posted the photo on Facebook, external and said it was seen yesterday evening in Frankwell.

    It added that the tent was checked and no-one was in it or around at the time.
