    At it's height about 70 firefighters were involved in containing the fire and trying to prevent it spreading to neighbouring properties.

    The 20-year-old died in Goosemoore Lane, Erdington just before 19:30.

    Police said patrols had been stepped up in the area to reassure the community..

    One resident said he saw a car of young men pull up to the cordon with flowers but they were turned away.

    No arrests have been made, said West Midlands Police.

    There's major disruption to rail services between Coventry and Birmingham New Street this morning.

    Damage to overhead electric wires means all lines are blocked.

    CrossCountry, London Northwestern, Virgin and West Midlands services running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

    The disruption is expected to last all morning.

    A residential complex in Crewe has partially collapsed after a large fire which has continued to burn through the night.

    Fire broke out in the roof Beechmere supported living complex shortly after 16:30.

    About 150 residents were involved in an evacuation of the area, said Cheshire Police.

    Dozens of firefighters have been tackling the fire, and working to protect surrounding homes.

    Some residents spent the night in temporary accommodation, with others transported to an emergency rest centre, police said.

    A farm set up by a family whose children have autism is now welcoming other families.

    Kate and Simon Morris, from Kenilworth, Warwickshire, initially created the space for their children, who have autism, who they said struggle to enjoy crowded and noisy venues.

    The Spencer's Retreat farm and play area, in Berkswell, is now full of animals including pigs, sheep, hens and horses - all of which were unwanted, orphaned or donated - and welcomes other families who have special needs.
