    Birmingham City have been charged by the EFL with a breach of regulations over the business plan imposed on them by the league last season, the club has confirmed.

    Blues were deducted nine points in March 2019 for breaking profitability and sustainability rules and could be facing a second points deduction.

    All traffic is being temporarily held on the M6 southbound near Birmingham after a multi-vehicle crash.

    The crash is in the same area as an earlier accident, between J6 and J5.

    There's currently eight miles of queuing traffic in the area.

    The draw for the fourth round of the FA Cup has given West Bromwich Albion a trip to London to face West Ham, meaning head coach Slaven Bilic can look forward to taking on his old club.

    Birmingham City could have the unusual prospect of visiting their own home ground in the fourth round if Coventry, who are sharing the ground with Blues this season, beat Bristol Rovers in their replay.

    If Wolves overcome Manchester United in their replay at Old Trafford next week, they will travel to either the team that beat them in last year's semi-final, Watford, or League One side Tranmere.

    Holders Manchester City have another home tie, against Fulham, while Premier League leaders Liverpool will visit either Bristol City or Shrewsbury.

    Matches will be played between Friday 24 and Monday 27 January.

    The Commonwealth Games Federation will consider staging the 2022 Games shooting and archery competitions in India, several months before the main events start in Birmingham, the BBC understands.

    The unprecedented proposal has been put forward by India, who had threatened to boycott Birmingham 2022 after shooting was excluded from the Games.

    If approved, the idea would avert that risk.

    It could be accepted by its executive board as soon as next month, and then put to a full vote of the CGF's 71 member associations.

    There's seven miles of queuing traffic on the M6 southbound near Birmingham due to an earlier crash involving a car and a lorry.

    Traffic was held for a while, but all lanes have now reopened from J6, Spaghetti Junction to J5, Castle Bromwich.

    Travel time through the area is about 40 minutes, traffic data firm Inrix is reporting.

    The diocese said his last official service would be on Easter Day and his successor would be announced "in due course".

    A man suffered serious head injuries when he was punched in the face in Tamworth.

    The 24-year-old was hurt in the town centre on Sunday morning.

    Staffordshire Police said, external there were many people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the attack.

    A man has been charged after a woman broke her arm and suffered facial injuries when dragged along the ground in a carjacking.

    The vehicle was stolen from Stoney Lane, Bloxwich, Walsall, on 28 December.

    A 28-year-old man is set to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 3 February charged with robbery and two unrelated burglaries.

    Part of the A5 near Shrewsbury will be shut overnight this week for roadworks.

    The route either side of the Edgebold Island will be closed by Shropshire Council , externalbetween the Dobbies and Woodcote roundabouts.

    The authority is putting down new road markings and will carry out the work every day from 20:00 to 06:00 until Friday.

    A fresh appeal has been issued by police investigating a serious crash in Tipton, external.

    A 39-year-old cyclist was hit by a car on Park Lane East, near Dudley Port station, on 18 December and was taken to hospital. He remains there in a critical condition, says West Midlands Police.

    The driver of the car is helping officers with their inquiries, the force adds.
