    Two people have been charged over the death of a teenager in Leamington Spa, including a 16-year-old boy who is accused of his murder.

    Nasir Patrice, 17, from Birmingham, was stabbed in Tachbrook Road at about 11:00 on 15 January. He died at the scene.

    A 16-year-old boy from London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon, kidnap and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

    Richard Talawila, 18, from London, has been charged with kidnap and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

    Both are due to appear at Warwickshire Magristrates' Court on Monday morning.

  5. Women seriously injured after suspected drink drive crashpublished at 09:39 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2020

    A man arrested on suspicion of drink driving, after two women were seriously injured when a car hit a tree, has been released under investigation.

    The women, aged 27 and 31, are believed to have been thrown from a vehicle after the crash on Alcester Road near the junction with Sandhurst Road in Moseley at about 12:40 on Saturday.

    They remain in hospital in a life-threatening condition.

    A third passenger, a man aged 28, was taken to hospital but released a short time later.

    A man aged 30 was also treated for minor injuries before being arrested, said West Midlands Police.

    Officers are appealing for four men, who helped the injured at the scene, to get in touch.

    A man is due in court charged with a number of sex offences, including rape.

    The alleged offences took place in Birmingham and Nuneaton in the late 1990s.

    Phillip Blackwell, 55, of Launceston, Cornwall, has been charged with four counts of rape, an attempted rape and an indecent assault.

    He is due to appear at Leamington Magistrates' Court.

    A woman has been left in a critical condition after being struck by a car in Birmingham on Sunday.

    St Martin's Street was closed for a time at the junction with Tennant Street, Five Ways in the city.
