West Midlands Police has issued CCTV images of a man officers would like to speak to after a series of similar arson attacks in the Coundon area in recent days.
Fire crews were called to the property in Lavender Avenue, Coundon at about 04:45 this morning after a wheelie bin fire spread to an adjacent house.
No-one was in at the time, said West Midlands Police, but the blaze still caused damage estimated at several thousand pounds.
Wheelie bin fires have also been reported in the early hours of Tuesday morning, including ones in Lavender Avenue, Redesdale Avenue and Banks Road, which resulted in a car catching fire.
And a tree was also set alight in Browett Road on the same morning, the force added.
Frank Slevin whose property on Lavender Avenue went up in fire overnight said whoever was responsible was "clearly escalating" their behaviour.
"I just worry terribly for my neighbours, one of them is in a wheelchair, he might not have been able to make it out of the house."

Sandwell Borough Council says it doesn't know at the moment how it will meet an expected budget shortfall of £2.8m this year due to Covid-19.
Nearly 150 authorities across the UK have forecast a combined budget shortfall of at least £3.2bn, a BBC investigation's found.
In Sandwell, the local authority says the financial impact from coronavirus so far stands at £24.385m and it's had £21.578m in emergency funding from the government.
Deputy leader councillor Wasim Ali says making any predictions on the long-term effects would be based on assumptions and it doesn't know if ministers will provide more money.
"Once we understand this position better, we will then have to decide where we can make necessary savings and where we need to reprioritise and redirect resources as appropriate."

Officers are using New Year’s Eve as a “reference point” as they approach the reopening of pubs, a top police officer has said.
Supt Jim Baker, Telford and Wrekin’s local policing commander, said 31 December and the following morning was “typically our busiest night of the year" and it would provide a template for 4 July.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced pubs – along with other facilities, including restaurants and hotels – could reopen from a week next Saturday, as social distancing rules are eased.
Speaking in a live question-and-answer session with West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion, Supt Baker urged the public to “be sensible and pace themselves”.

Birmingham City Council is forecasting a shortfall of £212m over 2020-21 and 2021-22 and said effectively declaring itself bankrupt "would not rectify this situation".
Nearly nine out of ten local authorities face budget deficits as a result of the coronavirus, including 10 of the 14 in the West Midlands.
Birmingham City Council, the largest local authority in the country, is facing the UK's biggest worst-case shortfall, although the £212m includes a reduction in the council's rates and tax collection.
The shortfall equates to £186 for every person living in the city.
Some councils have considered using a section 114 notice, which basically stops a council from making any new spending commitments, but still honours its existing ones.

Read MoreAn attack involving two pipe bombs that were thrown at a house in Birmingham has been described as "deeply worrying" by the region's police and crime commissioner (PCC).
A teenage girl remains in hospital after having surgery to remove shotgun pellets, following the attack in Coronation Road, Tipton in the early hours of Wednesday.
The devices failed to go off and the girl was "caught in the crossfire", police said, after a shotgun was "fired at visitors to the address".
PCC David Jamieson said: "This is a horrific attack where a young girl has been injured in the crossfire by a firearm.
"Fortunately the pipe bombs did not detonate, however it is deeply worrying that some people are creating such deadly weapons.
"West Midlands Police and I take this very seriously and the police are continuing their investigation into this awful incident."
