    Damage caused by a fuel spill in Tunstall is likely to cost £200,000 to fix.

    Stoke-on-Trent City Council said James Brindley Way had been closed since the spill last Friday, between the KFC roundabout and the Chatterley Whitfield pub.

    The authority added police were investigating and it was not clear at this stage whether the fuel spill was an accident or vandalism.

    Resurfacing work is due to start next Monday and will take just over a week to complete.
