A silent walk and vigil to remember the people who died in the Grenfell Tower fire will be held in Bristol later.

Friday will mark two years since 72 people died when a blaze broke out in the 24-storey block of flats in North Kensington, west London.

The Bristol4Grenfell group are organising the event to coincide with other vigils around the country.

People will gather at the water fountains at 5pm to hear speakers before leaving for a silent walk to College Green at 6pm.

The group says they want to show their support for the Grenfell United campaign group "who are working so tirelessly not only to see justice for their families and loved ones, but also to prevent such an event from ever happening again".

Police have been told to wait until a public inquiry into the fire has published its final report before they pass evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service to consider any criminal charges.
