The number of people playing sport regularly has fallen in almost every part of Cambridgeshire since the last Olympics, with the exception of Peterborough, according to figures from Sport England, external.

The biggest drop has been in Fenland. There, almost 4,000 fewer people are doing at least half an hour of exercise a week, compared to four years ago. This all comes just days before the start of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Nationally, Sport England says people aged 44 or under generally aren't exercising as much as they were before London 2012. Those aged 45 to 64 years old are actually exercising more.
