It appears the recovery of the crashed plane at Duxford over the weekend hasn't gone entirely to plan.

The World War Two Mustang "Miss Velma" was taking part in the Flying Legends show when it ran into difficulties on Sunday and did an emergency landing in a field near the site. No-one was hurt.

We've contacted the museum and the police to find out more.

    BBC Radio Cambridgeshire political reporter

I really enjoyed my morning at East Cambridgeshire District Council with pupils from Littleport Primary School - it was the perfect antidote to a very busy few months in politics.

The children on the school's own council were invited to the council chamber in Ely to find out how councils and voting works.

The pupils had their own election, complete with real ballot boxes and polling booths.

In the end there was a unanimous vote for the Save the World candidate, Michael Recycle.

After the mock election I spoke to some of the pupils and asked them what thought about politics.

Katie, 10, told me she thought the NHS should get more support and eight-year-old Santiago said if he was prime minister he'd make sure there were more bins.

A woman died on the A1139 Eye Road in Peterborough after she was struck by a lorry.

    It happened about 19:00 yesterday.

Sadly, officers have been unable to identify the victim or trace her next-of-kin and are asking for your help.

The woman has been described as being in her late 20s with long shoulder-length hair, slim and with a unicorn tattoo on her left shoulder.

She was wearing jeans, boots, a T-shirt, cardigan and a ring on her engagement finger.

Sgt Mark Dollard said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who recognises the description of this young woman and thinks they may know who she is.

"Unfortunately, despite our best efforts we have not been able to identify this lady and therefore have been unable to trace her family to pass on this sad news."
