14:29 GMT 1 February 2017A man throwing religious items, including a figure from a nativity scene, through a church window was tasered by police.
Colin Sheach, 50, admitted criminal damage and assault over the post-Christmas incidents at a church in Kingsbury, North Warwickshire.
He threw the items through the windows of St Peter and St Paul's Church on 29 December.
Judge Philip Gregory at Coventry Crown Court was told a full pre-sentence report was not available on Sheach following a communication problem between probation departments in Coventry and Warwick.
Sheach, of The Green, Kingsbury, has been ordered not to enter Church Lane, until a further hearing later this month.

BBC Local LiveA man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, external following a crash on the M69 in Leicestershire.
A 55-year-old from Bedworth is due in Leicester Magistrates' Court tomorrow where he also faces a charge of perverting the course of justice.
The crash happened in May 2016 between J1 and J2 of the motorway. Kerry Pemberton from Birmingham was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.
