    More than 230 drivers were fined for not wearing their seatbelt during a week-long police crackdown across the West Midlands. 

    Officers handed out £100 penalties to 236 motorists.

    The force says excuses included a driver claiming they did not believe a seatbelt was required while travelling at 25mph or less, according to police, external .

    The M6 southbound will remain closed for an investigation into the three-vehicle crash earlier this morning, says Highways England.

    They're encouraging motorists to allow extra time for journeys through the area as diversions remain in place between junctions three and two.

    Operations manager David Yates said teams were working closely with the emergency services  to carry out work after the crash, involving two lorries and one car.

    Drivers are advised to leave the motorway at junction three and travel via the A444, the A428, and the A46 to the M6 junction.

    Trapped traffic is now being released past a collision on the M6 southbound, between junctions three and two.

    All lanes have now reopened on the northbound carriageway in Warwickshire but there are very long delays in the area.

    Police say they've been led to a property in Stratford-upon-Avon by information served by the community and they're looking to disrupt the supply of Class A drugs in the area.

    One man has been airlifted to hospital, says the ambulance service, after a three-vehicle crash on the M6, which happened at about 08:30.

    Fire crews confirm they worked to free one person who was trapped in a vehicle.  

    A total of five people have been treated at the scene for injuries.

    The northbound carriageways have just reopened, but there are diversions in place for southbound traffic.

    The southbound carriageway of the M6 will remain closed for some time, say police, after a serious collision involving three vehicles between junctions two and three in Warwickshire.

    One man is reported to be trapped in a vehicle and both south and northbound carriageways were closed to allow the air ambulance to land.

    Firefighters were called to help a man trapped up to his waste in mud in Lower Quinton earlier., external

    The specialist water rescue unit worked with two crews to eventually free the man, uninjured, from a building site on Campden Road.
