A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Kendal.
Image source, GoogleCumbria Police says the woman was hit on Windermere Road at 14:30 yesterday afternoon.
The road was closed until yesterday evening to allow officers to investigate.
Anyone who saw what happened is being asked to contact the police on 101.
It will be a mild day with a lot of cloud and outbreaks of rain, mostly light and patchy, spreading southwards this morning.
Southwesterly winds will pick up through the day and there will be a maximum temperature of 12C (54F).
