We're talking about the impact the closure of a so-called 'crack house' has had on the local area in Matlock.

Police say the premises on Upper Greenhill Gardens had become a magnet for crime before it was shut under laws introduced in 2014.

PC Dave Naylor, of Matlock's neighbourhood policing team, says the area's significantly quieter now it's been boarded up.

He said: "Prior to this closure it was every other day we were here and that's no exaggeration, be it from anti-social behaviour to other fights, not specifically directly at this premises, but in the close vicinity. Since we've had the closure we haven't had a call for service to this street."
