Two lorry loads of waste left the Shows Waste Management site on Slack Lane in Derby ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
The Environment Agency says it only had one or two complaints about the flies over the weekend, having asked the site owners to bring in a professional pest control team.

The Environment Agency says it's started a criminal investigation into the cause of a fly infestation in Derby.
Campaigners living near the waste site on Slack Lane which is thought to be the cause of the problem say they want rotting waste to be removed by the end of the week.
