    Plans for a new craft beer bar and bottle shop have been given the go-ahead by the city council.

    Suds and Soda will replace a former sandwich shop on Friar Gate.

    Derbyshire have named an unchanged side for tomorrow's One-Day Cup tie away to Warwickshire.

    Coach John Sadler says one-day captain Wes Durston isn't far away from a return from injury, but he won't be risked tomorrow.

    A trader at Burton Market Hall told BBC Radio Derby many of them were just "scraping along" and only steadily making any money.

    Maureen Frost wrote: "So they want to save some money. Visited Belper library yesterday and the heating was on! Do we need this in June no?? If the staff are cold put a jumper on, l bet they've not got in on at home??"

    Train maker Bombardier has confirmed a multi-million pound deal with another local company - Porterbrook Leasing which is based at Pride Park.

    They will make more than 90 new vehicles which will be used to supply the Great Western Railway. The work is expected to be completed by October next year.

    Burton's Market Hall is steadily improving according to East Staffordshire Borough Council, despite a high turnover of traders and a disappointing number of visitors.

    Only a handful of traders who took up stalls when the market reopened after a £1.5m revamp are still trading there and there are concerns about the number of people using the market.

    The county council says the closures mean the loss of 143 full time equivalent posts, external in its children's and business services. 

    They said they were holding talks with unions to limit job losses and see if staff could be offered voluntary redundancy or re-deployment.

    The authority said they were also talking to voluntary and community groups with a view to keeping some children's centre services open in some locations.

    Derbyshire County Council says it is keeping open centres "where there is the most need".

    But during the consultation people said closures would mean travelling further to access services and they would have a "detrimental affect" on the health and wellbeing of children.
