Deputy Chief Constable Peter Goodman (pictured) said: "In response to this heightened threat, the public may see an increased policing and security presence to help reassure communities but there is no cause for alarm."

He said security arrangements are being reviewed for "key sites" across the county and public events.

“Terrorists want to create discord, distrust and fear. We stand together with all communities in Derbyshire and we would ask residents to be our eyes and ears and report anything suspicious they may see, be this a package, person or vehicle," Mr Goodman said.

He said there hasn't been a rise in reported hate crime since the attack on Tuesday night.

"We want the public to come to a football match or concert and be safe," he said.

"We don't do that as a matter of course, but if we were given the intelligence information then we probably would do."

"Sometimes players in their clubs are asked to play in a different way and it doesn't suit them," Jones said.

"I saw plenty of effort from George. How he was being asked to play for Bath doesn't really suit how he plays and it restricted his development."

Meanwhile, Ford, 24, who is returning to Welford Road after four years away, has said he is "looking forward" to challenging for silverware in the East Midlands.

Demolition could begin straight away and be complete within six months, with the new car park completed by the end of 2019.

Council leader, Jon Collins, said: “There can be few people in the city that would be sorry to see the Broadmarsh car park go."

The bunny, named Woody by inspectors, was spotted by a member of the public near a cardboard box containing straw bedding not far from the main car park at Bestwood Country Park.

The box had been dumped in a patch of nettles and there was an adult rabbit nearby - presumed to be Woody's mum - which had been dead for about two days.

RSPCA inspector Rachel Leafe said neither rabbit was chipped so there's no way of tracing their owner.

"We also don’t know if there were more than two rabbits dumped, as some may have gotten away," she said.

She added: "The baby rabbit was probably found just in time, it’s unlikely she would survive on her own so it is lucky that she was found when she was.”

Woody is currently being cared for by the RSPCA until she is old enough to go to a new home.
