    Two men from Boughton have been charged with robbery, external after a woman was allegedly dragged from her car which was then stolen on the A614 near Ollerton last month.

    The pair, aged 29 and 21, are due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court later this month.

    Radical plans to cut waiting times at Leicester Royal Infirmary's new accident and emergency department have come into force.

    Health bosses at University Hospitals Leicester want 90% of emergency patients to be seen within four hours. It's currently only achieving around 76%.

    Under the plans, there'll be more senior doctors working overnight and patients referred by their GP could be taken straight to a medical ward.

    Karen Chouhan (below), from the patient group Healthwatch Leicester, has said she "welcomes" the measures being put in place.

    More than 13,000 tickets have been sold so far for the return of the Darley Park Concert.

    The event returns this weekend after being cancelled by the city council last year but for the first time there'll be an entry fee.

    There will be additional security measures and the council has asked people to arrive earlier than in previous years.

    A technical problem is disrupting broadcasting on BBC Radio Derby, BBC Radio Nottingham and BBC Radio Leicester this morning, along with a number of other BBC local radio stations.

    A flurry of activity at Pride Park in the final hours of transfer deadline day saw the Rams sign Birmingham midfielder Maikel Kieftenbeld, 27, for an undisclosed fee on a two-year contract.

    A swap deal with Sheffield Wednesday saw Jacob Butterfield heading to Hillsborough on a season-long loan with striker Sam Winnall coming the other way.

    Meanwhile Rams midfielder Craig Bryson has joined Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season.

    Two cars have collided in Melton Road in Tollerton, Nottinghamshire, this morning, closing the citybound side.

    Fire, police and ambulance services are at the scene.

    A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said they were called at about 07:20 to reports of a crash between two vehicles, believed to be a Mini and a Mazda.

    The driver of one of the cars is believed to have minor injuries.

    There are reports of fluid on the road which is being cleared.

    It was a busy final day of the transfer window, with Chelsea finally completing a £35m deal to sign Danny Drinkwater from Leicester.

    The 27-year-old was a key part of the Foxes side that won the Premier League in 2015-16, but asked to leave the club amid interest from the Blues.

    Craig Shakespeare did manage to bring in one player, Bayer Leverkusen defender Aleksandar Dragovic (pictured below), on a season long loan deal.

    Riyad Mahrez is also staying at the Foxes despite being allowed to leave the Algeria squad to "formalise" a move away.

    Police officers patrolled the streets of Nottingham last night to alert doormen and security staff to the signs of the potential sexual exploitation of children.

    The event was organised by Nottinghamshire Police, the city council and the security industry to raise awareness of the issue.

    Door staff being given advice

    Officers handed out information cards detailing how to spot potential incidents and report anything suspicious.

    Nottingham is the first city to use this method but it could be rolled out across the country.

    Dramatic footage of 10,000 hay bales ablaze in Nottinghamshire.

    Firefighters have been tackling the fire in Babworth Road since about 22:30 last night.

    It's still burning this morning but it's under control, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue has said.

    It'll probably continue to burn for a couple of days.

    • There is slow traffic on the M1 southbound at J25 near Sandiacre due to a stalled vehicle.
    • You are being advised to leave extra time if you are using Ashbourne Road to get into Derby where there is slow traffic near Markeaton Park.
