A man from Nottinghamshire who was scammed out of £200,000 is backing a campaign to warn against fraud.
He struck up a friendship online with a woman who supposedly lived in Ghana and needed help to secure her inheritance.
The man, who wanted to remain anonymous, lent the money but it turned out to be part of a scamming operation.

He said: "If that money wasn't paid by the end of 2016, they would keep the gold and the gold was worth £5m and that is when my ears pricked up.
"I make no mistake, I was not interested in 1p of that gold, it was all down to helping these two people get their inheritance from their father."
He is now helping Nottinghamshire Police warn others not to make the same mistake.
