    One of Nottingham's oldest restaurants, often visited by Brian Clough and and his trophy-winning Forest teams, has closed for good.

    After 40 years, Trattoria Antonio, just around the corner from the City Ground, is set to be re-developed.

    Customers have been leaving messages of thanks on the walls.

    Owner, Gaetano Scotece, said "If you look round the place, all the messages that people have left tell you how much we have meant in their lives and they've meant to us."

    An annual New Year's Day tradition which sees people jumping off a town bridge into a river has taken place in Derbyshire.

    The jump at the Mapleton Bridge in Ashbourne, sees people jump off the 30ft bridge into the River Dove.

    The jump, which started in the 1980s, is held each year to raise money for local charities.

    Rail passengers across the East Midlands are now paying more for their tickets than last year.

    Prices on CrossCountry have gone up on average by 4.1%, and East Midlands Trains by 3.3%.

    The campaign group, Railfuture, claims the increase means people are being priced out of getting to work.

    Jake Kelly, from East Midlands Trains, said:, external "As well as helping to fund the biggest national investment in the railways since Victorian times through increased payments to government, the money from fares is also helping to drive many real improvements for customers across the East Midlands Trains network".

    Here's a look at the region's roads:

    • Heavy traffic on the A606 Melton Road westbound between Tollerton Lane and the A52 Flawforth Lane in Tollerton.
    • Traffic is moving well on the M1 into the roadworks southbound at J25 for the A52 to Nottingham and Derby.
    • There are no delays around the M1 roadworks at J23A for the A42 to East Midlands Airport.
