Singer Sam Bailey says she is still suffering after being knocked out by a loft ladder at her home in Leicester earlier this week.

The former X Factor winner was taken to hospital with concussion on New Year's Day after the accident happened while she was retrieving a suitcase.

Last night she told her Twitter followers that sneezing "felt like someone had whacked my head with a sledgehammer".

The injury has prevented her from performing in panto at Leicester's De Montfort Hall but show bosses say they're hopeful she will be able to return before its run ends on Sunday.
