    There are no easy pools in the Champions Cup these days - particularly after Leicester Tigers came into the draw as third seeds.

    But there is a sense that it could have been worse. Toulon have been avoided and, for once, so have Munster.

    However Leicester have suffered defeat on each of their last away trips to Scarlets, Racing 92 and Ulster, and they'll only progress in the competition if they can prosper on the road in Europe once more.

    Police have helped to escort this 5.5m wide load from Heanor to Codnor Gate Industrial Estate - just look at the size of it!

    The lorry carrying the load set off at midday and travelled along the A608, A6007 and A610.

    A teenager has been charged with possession of a bladed article, using threatening behaviour and assaulting a police officer in Nottingham.

    The 19-year-old, of Selwyn Close, Old Basford, was arrested after an officer saw a man carrying a knife and later threatening two people in the Bridgeway Centre area of the Meadows yesterday afternoon.

    Nottinghamshire Police said officers were "quickly on the scene and made an arrest". No-one was hurt.

    The man - who was subsequently charged with assaulting an officer at the Bridewell custody centre - is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court later.

    A missing 16-year-old girl from Leicester has been found safe and well, Leicestershire Police said.

    Sheyenne Robertson had last been seen at her home address in Raven Road on Tuesday and was found in the city earlier.

    Police have issued a warning after group of 13 to 15-year-old boys have been running into a busy road playing a game called "chicken" in Church Gresley, near Swadlincote.

    Officers were made aware of reports on social media on Monday of the schoolchildren running in front of moving traffic on Brunel Way, near Glamorgan way.

    PCSO Claire Robbins said: "Not only would the children be causing a danger to themselves but also to other road users who may panic and swerve or brake suddenly to avoid hitting them."

    She has urged parents to advise them against "this dangerous activity".

    Royal Derby Hospital has admitted liability after a man died from sepsis following a routine bowel cancer operation.

    Simon Tulitt, 62, from Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, died from multiple organ failure two days after the surgery at the hospital in 2013.

    An investigation found doctors failed to prescribe the correct antibiotics for septicaemia.

    Mr Tulitt's wife Janet said she has spent the past five years demanding answers from Derby Teaching Hospitals, which runs the hospital.

    “Nothing will fill the loss I feel for my husband and the loss our children feel for their dad," she said.

    "The hospital failed so poorly in its basic duty of care."

    Following Mr Tulitt’s death, the trust said it has created a sepsis care bundle, which has been implemented in all emergency areas and adult wards.

    It added that as a result of the improvements it now has one of the region’s lowest in-patient mortality rates for sepsis.

    Tributes have been paid to a 33-year-old RAC worker who died after being hit by a car in Rainworth

    It happened at about 19:20 on 15 June while David Stokes, from Chellaston, was recovering a vehicle on the A617.

    A statement from Mr Stokes' family said he was a "true family man who died doing the job he loved".

    RAC chief executive Dave Hobday said: "David was a dedicated, much loved and valued member of our team and his death has been a terrible shock to all of us at the RAC.

    "We continue to work closely with his family and will do everything we can to support them at this incredibly difficult time.

    "His death has sparked an enormous reaction from colleagues, friends, other breakdown patrols and recovery workers."

    The RAC will be holding a minute’s silence at 11:00 on Friday in memory of David.

    More than 50 cows have died at a farm in Houghton on the Hill.

    Farmer Tom Rawson said the cause of the deaths is still not known but it's thought it could be linked to water contamination.

    Tom said last night was "long and emotional" for all the farm team.

    He thanked the fire service who helped to save 30 cows by getting them water to flush their systems.

    Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed crews were sent to the farm on Houghton Lane last night. They pumped water from a nearby hydrant to fill up all the cow troughs and farm storage tanks.

    Two 14-year-old boys have been arrested and charged during a police crackdown on anti-social behaviour in Sutton-in-Ashfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

    One teenager has been charged with offences of burglary, theft of a vehicle, aggravated vehicle taking without consent, driving without a license and driving with no insurance.

    The other was charged with three robberies.

    An 81-year-old man has been robbed at his house in Chesterfield after after a man asked for a glass of water, police said.

    The man forced his way inside a house on Walgrove Road, Walton, at about 18:15 on Saturday after persuading the victim to get him a drink.

    He stole a coat containing a wallet, which was dark-coloured and contained a quantity of cash, a debit card, rail travel card and bus pass.

    The victim chased the thief down the road and he dropped the coat but ran off with the wallet in the direction of Goytside Road and Factory Street.

    A 38-year-old man was arrested and has been released while investigations continue.

    Derbyshire Police asked anyone with information to contact them.
