The handler of a former police dog has paid tribute to him after he died earlier this month from a sudden illness.
He had kept nine-year-old Kaiser on as a family pet after his retirement and said: "Kaiser was the biggest and most committed police dog I've worked with. He was also the most vocal, as anyone who ever came near him or his van will tell you.
"Throughout his career he found numerous suspects and worked countless football matches.
"It's fair to say that Kaiser was more than happy to take 'positive action' to prevent disorder. He is a sadly missed best friend and family member."
Kaiser served for four years before having to retire due to a back condition.
A police spokesperson described him as "brave and stoic right to the end, as he was throughout his life and career".
Following his trip from London to York on board the Flying Scotsman, Michael uses his Bradshaw's to trace the path of the famous service, beginning in the 'Key of the North' Newark-on-Trent and finishing in the cradle of the railways, Stockton-on-Tees. Michael rallies the choristers of a Tudor song school and admires the art of the railways before travelling to Retford, where he discovers a high-tech application for a Victorian rubber technology. A scandalous novel written in Thirsk leads Michael to a wildlife centre, where he is enlisted to feed a hungry young hedgehog named Charles.
The medical examiner was breathalysed when he arrived at the scene of a suspected suicide.

Police are investigating after a woman - who is believed to have been trafficked to the UK as a teenager to work as a nanny - fled her home.
Nottinghamshire Police said they were called after she asked for help in a shop.
The woman was reportedly brought over from Nigeria five years ago on false pretences and is said to have received no payment.
Det Insp Nikki Smith said the force is investigating claims a man controlled all her documents and "regularly assaulted her".
Officers searched a property in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, on Wednesday morning and arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of human trafficking and assault.
He has since been released under investigation.
