    Chloe Niblett was last seen leaving her home in Laurel Close at about 10:40. She was wearing black trousers and a black jacket.

    A man behind an international business based in Leicester has told the BBC that Brexit has forced them into a move to the USA.

    Byron Dixon is the CEO of Micro-Fresh International, which is based on New Walk. He believes they've been fortunate and appreciates not all business are able to make the same move.

    He said: "We have nine offices in seven countries and we've opened in the US to mitigate the risk of Brexit.

    "I think for most businesses that are UK centric it's really a tough time and the government need to really look around and see what they're doing to businesses."

    Georgia Mundy, 15, was last seen at her home in Alexandra Road at 08:00 yesterday.

    A woman from Ilkeston who has Crohn's Disease is hoping a triple organ transplant will allow her to live a normal life.

    Michelle Oddy, 43, was diagnosed with the condition, which severely affects the digestive system, when she was 14 and has needed multiple operations since.

    Now she's signed up for a 20-hour surgical procedure that will see her liver, pancreas and bowels replaced.

    She's been told the operation carries a risk of death but is determined to go ahead anyway.

    She said: "I've done a hell of a lot of thinking. It's the only way I'm going to get my life back. I'm definitely up for it.

    "Bring it on. I cannot wait to feel hungry and to look forward to eating something."

    Ms Oddy has been having tests at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and hopes to receive the organs from a deceased donor later this year.

    The A52 Wyvern roadworks are now expected to cost £40.3m, with a £2.9m contingency.

    Derby City Council said: "There is a shared confidence between the council and Galliford Try that the work will be completed within this revised project budget."

    A detailed report suggests future phases could require the closure of the slip roads to and from Pride Park.

    The westbound slip-road on to the A52 could also be closed for an "extended period of time".

    The Independent Office for Police Conduct has given its reaction after a Nottinghamshire police officer was found guilty of assaulting a man he pulled from a patrol car by his hair.

    PC Matthew Thompson, from Derby, had denied the charge but was yesterday convicted by Loughborough magistrates following a one-day trial.

    Regional director Derrick Campbell said: "Our investigation, which included reviewing body worn video of the incident, raised serious concerns about the appropriateness of PC Thompson’s actions and we referred it to the CPS for a charging decision.

    "The court has clearly taken the view that PC Thompson overstepped the mark.”

    Police investigating two break-ins at petrol stations in Leicester believe they could be linked.

    Both happened in the early hours of this morning. The first was on Saffron Road, where a group of men smashed a window and stole cigarettes before leaving the scene in a car.

    The second happened on Melton Road - similarly a group of men were seen to smash a window, go into the petrol station and steal cigarettes before leaving.

    Officers executed a warrant under the Police and Criminal Evidence act at an address in Dominion Road, Leicester, this morning.

    The road was closed while officers entered the property, but has since reopened.

    Police remain at the scene to carry out a search of the premises. No one has been arrested at this time.

    A 27-year-old man has been arrested, external after police discovered 120 cannabis plants while responding to a report of a suspected burglary.

    Three men fled the house in Alfreton Road, Radford, when officers arrived and found the plants at 04:40. They also spotted the electricity had been bypassed.

    The man was detained on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis after being chased down by officers.

    A Leicestershire horse sanctuary, with about 90 rescued horses, is recovering well after money shortages put it at risk of closure.

    Last month Pablo's Horse Sanctuary in Melton Mowbray was relying on food and medical donations to keep going.

    The centre had got deeper and deeper into debt after the extremely hot summer meant bill money had to be spent on food.

    Owner, Carole Fleming made a public appeal for help and she said there was a "great response" and they are now "getting back on an even keel".

    She hopes she can keep the momentum going so they never end up in the same situation again.

    A Harry Potter-themed autograph by JK Rowling is among a huge collection of celebrity signatures being sold by a Derbyshire auction firm.

    More than 200 household names provided sketches and autographs for a charity project, which started in 2000, including Sir Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey, Sir Richard Branson, Julie Walters, Joan Collins and Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park.

    Now the entire collection is being sold at Bishton Hall in Staffordshire later this week with an estimate of between £3,000 and £5,000.

    Jim Spencer, from Etwall-based Hansons, said: "The doodle drawing makes J K Rowling's autograph unique.

    "Plus, these days, she simply doesn’t sign. She’s so overwhelmed by correspondence from fans, her management company posted a public statement online saying she couldn’t provide autographs.”

    There's concern over the future of an adult day service for older members of Nottingham's African-Caribbean community.

    For the past 30 years people have gathered at the Marcus Garvey Centre - a building named after the black nationalist leader who had millions of followers.

    Nottingham City Council has said it isn't closing the service but wants to move it to another council-owned facility to save £70,000 a year. The proposal was first outlined in December's budget plans.

    One woman using the centre told the BBC: "It's very important to me. Six years ago I lost my husband. I didn't want to go anywhere but my daughter took me here and it's like a home from home."

    Veronica Lewis is 76 and visits the centre. She said its cultural importance can't be underestimated and although they're happy living in a multicultural environment, the centre is a place people from a similar background can socialise and eat traditional food together.

    Catherine Underwood, director of adult social services at Nottingham City Council, said the number of people that currently use the service is small and by moving it to a different building they might be able to increase the numbers.

    She said the proposed new building is more modern, fit for purpose and that staff would be transferred over.

    A Derbyshire village's neighbourhood watch group has begun foot patrols to help support the local police.

    Members of the Kilburn and Denby group said there had been a 75% reduction in crime in the area since it was set up three years.

    Now volunteers have begun walking around the parish to deter burglars and stamp out anti-social behaviour.

    Watch co-ordinator Daniel Beadell said: "These community patrols just started as support to the police and reassurance to residents that we're there to deter would-be burglars."
