A Leicestershire ice-cream van owner believes it could take years for their business to recover after their two vehicles were torched on their driveway.
Tony Del Busso, known to people in Hinckley as Mr Cool, was woken in the early hours of Thursday by an explosion.
The business, which has been in the family since the 1970s, was in danger of closing but more than £2,400 has been raised by members of the community to help them.
"It could be years and years before we recover from this," said Mr Del Busso.
"Something like this has a psychological effect on you because every noise at night is a concern.
"But the community has been absolutely fantastic - the messages of support, the help we have been offered has been fantastic."
An investigation into the arson attack is ongoing.
