As proud parents fill our social media feeds with back to school photos - one father from Loughborough took the opportunity recreate a scene from his son's favourite film franchise.

As a keen photographer, Mr Donnelly said he's always looking to take a "more interesting" photo so he wanted to make it look like the scene in Toy Story 3, when Andy bids goodbye to his childhood toys after giving them away.

Mr Donnelly said: "I tried to make it look like it was dark inside where the toys were and bright outside where he was going, like your future's bright."

Since being posted online, the photo has been liked and shared tens of thousands of times.

A Leicester musician who temporarily "lost" her voice to cancer has released a song about her experience.

Ruby Walvin, 21, was left feeling physically and mentally unable to sing for eight months by her "gruelling" cancer treatment after she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia last year.

An operation on her shoulder also left her unable to pick up the guitar.

She said she felt like she lost not just her voice but her identity.

But while shielding, she began to make music again.

The lyrics of the single she released today, The Game, were partly written during her treatment and are about overcoming obstacles in life.

She said: "I get upset when people refer to people with cancer as 'having lost their battle'. We have no control over what happens to us, whether we live or die.

"We just play the game as best we can and that is what the song is about."
