    A man watched on his phone as two men smashed his car's windows before setting it on fire, police said.

    The man received a notification on his CCTV app telling him there had been movement near the BMW in North Street, Newthorpe on 20 May.

    He then watched as the pair, wearing hoodies and masks, poured an accelerant into the car in North Street, Newthorpe, and set it alight.

    Nobody was injured and an investigation is under way, with anyone who has information urged to contact the force.

    Detectives have appealed for help to identify a man who was found on a roundabout with "significant injuries".

    Derbyshire Police said the man, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, was involved in a crash on the Bonnie Prince island, just off the A50 in Derby, at about 03:20 on Monday.

    He remains in a serious condition in hospital, the force added.

    The man is white with a stubbly beard and a shaved head. He was found wearing a red Hungry Horse t-shirt, a black Eider jacket, a black Trespass hooded jacket, grey joggers and black Nike Air 270 trainers.

    The roundabout was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out.

    A 25-year-old man from Derby has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision. He remains in police custody.

    Police have also asked for anyone in the area at that time to contact them.

    A 73-year-old man has died after being knocked off his bike in Derby.

    Derbyshire Police said the cyclist was involved in a crash with a white BMW X2 on the A52 slip road at the Asda roundabout in Spondon at 18:55 on Sunday and the man died at the scene.
